                                      Managing My Scholarship Fund

          Counting on my scholarship fund which is as much as 2.1 million rupiahs, I find it too difficult to manage my finance. The most important, I must pay the study fee which is as much as 1.15 million rupiahs per semester. More important, I spend as much as 110 thousands rupiahs per month to pay the boardinghouse cost; it is quite cheap that I have a little money to spend for other needs. The essential things are food and drink which are the daily needs; I can’t be alive without them. Less important, I have to buy the handouts to support my study. The least important, I also spend the money for other needs coming suddenly like contributing and copying material; it makes me so confused that I think how to find job as soon as possible to solve my problem due to the lack of money. Consequently, I should spend my money as wisely as possible in order to be able to survive my study here.

Soekarno

          As long as the history of Indonesia, we know many figures those brought this nation to the independence; one of them was the First President of Indonesia, Soekarno. He was born in Blitar, East Java in 1901. He’d ever studied abroad and came back to Indonesia to be an intellectual person who changed his nation which was colonized at that time. In 1928, he started Indonesia National Party (Partai Nasional Indonesia) with his colleagues. He got many resistances from the colonizers. However, he and the other thinkers kept struggling to get their freedom for their beloved fatherland. Knowing that Soekarno had big influences in politic, the colonizers arrested him; they isolated him to a small island. In 1929, he was sent to prison. While the World War II, he cooperated with Japan since they promised the freedom to Indonesians. When the United States bombarded two big cities in Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Soekarno made the chance useful by proclaiming Indonesia’s Independence. He was so brave to make the decision that he didn’t care whatever happened. He was not frightened whether the colonizers suddenly attacked him by shooting him or doing something dangerous. Since the proclamation, he became the first president of Indonesia with his colleague, Muhammad Hatta as the vice president. Both were called the founding fathers of Indonesia. In 1968, Soekarno stopped being a president due to the rumor that he was the mastermind of communism. The end of his life was in 1970; he passed away because of illness.

My Hidden Talents

          In spite of my weaknesses, I find strengths which anyone else mayn’t have in me. Most of people knowing me perhaps don’t know that I’m able to do self-defense; they mustn’t believe how I can do it. Besides, I have high-pitched voice that is more attractive than Agnes Monica’s; however, I’m too shy to show it. I’m also able to dance both classical dance and modern one; I did both kinds of dances when I was in Elementary School, but now I say “never” to do them. I have not only those talents, but also other abilities like painting and acting; I love painting and like pretending as if I’m an actress. In short, there are many hidden talents that actually I can develop in myself.

One Direction’s Styles

          Each personnel of One Direction, which is a very popular boy band coming from Britain-Ireland, has different style of appearance . Harry Styles, who is the youngest, with his curly hair that makes him different from others, likes wearing coat either to perform or to do his daily activities. His style is the most elegant of all in spite of his young age. Different from Harry, Liam Payne prefers performing casually; he wears T-shirt more often than shirt even coat. He has rather blonde hair which style is fickle. The most impressive one whose father comes from Pakistan, Zayn Malik, also has his own style. This tuft-haired guy has piercing ears and loves to wear jacket. Like Liam Payne, Niall Horan, who has wired teeth and blonde hair, likes casual style better than elegant one; he usually wears T-shirt and jeans. The last, Louis Tomlinson, who is the oldest one, usually performs simply like Niall and Liam. He also wears T-shirt more often. However, sometimes he puts on coat when they perform by wearing uniform. These five handsome boys have their own unique performances to show.

Making Financial Statement Series

          It is not easy to make financial statement series manually starting from managing transaction proves until making the final balance sheet. First, we make the journal entry according to the data of all transaction proves like invoices, bills, notes, etc. Second, we post the record from the journal to the general larges on which all accounts are available. Third, we recapitulate the balance of each account to the trial balance. Next, we make the adjustment at the end of accounting period. Then, we summarize all accounts balance to the adjusted trial balance. After that, we make the income statement on which the cycle of all nominal accounts is counted to find whether it is loss or profit. Having found the profit, we make the capital statement; we add the profit to the first capital in order to find the last capital. The last, we make the final balance sheet that will be the first balance sheet of the next period. Indeed, it is quite complicated to manage the cycle of accounting in a company.

(If we use MYOB program, it will be easier because all statements are automatically set although the correctness depends on how we make the entry)

The End of the World

It is believed that the end of the world is incredibly dreadful; it has written on The Quran, which is the Moslems’ holy scripture. When it comes, the humans are extremely in fear. The earth is flat and throws its contents up. Also, the mountains are like dragonflies flying away and all people in the world are like feathers which are scattered. The earth is rocked as terrifying as possible and the mountains are destroyed as shattered as possible. At that day, the universe is completely destroyed; the sky is cracked, all things in the sky crash each other, and they are all thoroughly shattered. We can’t imagine how it is, but we must believe that it surely comes in order to make our faith stronger.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Playing Games

There are both advantages and disadvantages of playing games. When we play games, we use the right brain more than the left one; it is useful to maximize the right brain’s working. Playing games is so fun that it can decrease our stress. While we are playing games, we are thinking how to solve problem (in the games). It helps us to develop our creativity. In contrast, it can make us addicted to play them more and more, particularly online games. Many People, particularly students, who often play games tend to be addicted. They seem to be lazier to work, to study and to do other activities. It will be perilous if we play games very often. Therefore, we may play games just for an intermezzo.

My Sister’s Hobbies

My sister loves shopping, cooking, and gardening to spend her leisure time. When she is not working on the weekends, she sometimes shops either in traditional market or in mall. She usually buys her daily needs and clothes sometimes. In the afternoon, she cooks the meal for lunch. She loves to cook Javanese cuisines like soto, rendang, and curry. Even though she doesn’t like to be dirty, she enjoys growing plants in her small garden. She usually plants flowers like roses, jasmines, orchids, and lilies. She also grows vegetable and other plants like ginger and turmeric; she consumes them to cook and to make herbal medicine. All her hobbies are good and she makes them useful to complete her life.

Living in Village

I like living in village better than living in town because of the people, the environment, and the industry. In village, the people are friendly and like helping each other. However, most of people in town are unsociable and individualistic. The environment in village is better than in town; there are still many trees that can reduce the air pollution and the plants growing in fields help to prevent disasters like flood and landslide. In contrast, the trees in town are getting less and there are so many vehicles that make the air pollution worse. The industry in village is not as big as in town; there are just some home industries that make a little garbage. In the other hand, the industry in town develops rapidly; it causes many problems in many aspects even though we can get many advantages in developing industry. For these reasons, we find that village is more comfortable to live than town.

Laura, David’s Endless Love

Laura was the one whom David loved. He at the first time met her when he was in London. When he was traveling around London, he got an accident. His car was hit by a truck. He got some injuries on his body. Nobody knew him, but someone took him to the hospital. Being hospitalized, he didn’t know one who helped him. Two days later, he was seen by a woman. She admitted that she took him to the hospital. She introduced herself and mentioned her name, Laura. David felt very lucky and thanked to her. Since they met in the hospital, they were getting closer as they gave address and phone number each other. Even though David had to come back to his hometown, they still communicated by phone.

One day, David went to London to see Laura, but he didn’t inform her before. He wanted to make a surprise for her. It was raining while he was driving his car to Laura’s home. Arriving at Laura’s home, David got shocked as he saw Laura lying down on the floor. He walked closer to her. He quickly took her to the hospital. He was so worried that he forgot anything but Laura. He was more shocked as the doctor said that Laura had passed away. He didn’t believe it, but he had to receive the fact. She died because of cancer .He regretted coming late. He couldn’t forgive himself. He couldn’t put the blame either on himself or her, actually. She never told him about her disease. He couldn’t forget how kind-hearted Laura was. When he got accident, she took him to the hospital. He thought that he would have never found anyone else like her. In his mind, she was his endless love.
